The mystery of the missing researcher deepens in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” Episode 159. Boruto and his friends finally locate the researcher named Anato. However, he seems to have transformed into somebody else.

Toward the end of the last episode, Boruto, Mitsuki, Sarada and Mugino find Anato. But he ends up attacking them.

Now, in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” Episode 159 named “The Hashirama Cell,” Boruto and others will see a completely changed Anato. His behavior and appearance have changed and he seems to have lost control over himself.

As Anato continues to attack, Boruto and his friends try to rescue him without harming him in any form. Boruto remembers his promise to Mia, Anato’s wife, that he will bring him back safely.

The preview trailer also shows Mitsuki observing something happening to his body.

In Episode 158 of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations,” Team 7 gets a search and rescue mission. Mitsuki, Boruto and Sarada meet Mugino, who will be joining them on the mission as he is aware of the terrain.

Later, in the episode, Team 7 and Mugino start their search mission but they are unaware that someone’s keeping a close watch on their movements.

Mitsuki informs their team that there is another group, comprising of five or six members, on the move. Mugino explains by judging their speed, they can be shinobi.

It turns out, they are sent by the president of the company – Victor’s men. He asks his men to stand down as there is some misunderstanding.

The cast of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” anime includes Yuuko Sanpei as Boruto Uzumaki, Noriaki Sugiyama as Sasuke Uchiha, Kokoro Kikuchi as Sarada Uchiha, Ryuuichi Kijima as Mitsuki, Junko Takeuchi as Naruto Uzumaki, Akira Ishida as Gaara, Hidenori Takahashi as Konohamaru Sarutobi, Shoutarou Morikubo as Shikamaru Nara and Nana Mizuki as Hinata Hyuuga.

“Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” Episode 159 is scheduled to release Sunday, Aug. 2. Fans can watch the episode online via live streaming on Crunchyroll. Currently, the episodes are available in Japanese with English subtitles.
