An elderly man and woman found dead in the snow in Ash Fork Friday have been identified.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) has identified the couple as 74-year-old Richard Alexander and his wife, 79-year-old Elizabeth Alexander. Both are from the Juniper Woods Community in Ash Fork. It appears the couple died from exposure, YCSO says.

YCSO says there is no evidence of foul play play and that it appears the pair succumbed to weather-related conditions.

The time of death has not been established. It’s possible that snow kept their bodies from view for a period of time, says YCSO. The medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
