Delta plane taxiway Buffalo airport, slides off runway.

No one was hurt when a Delta Connection flight slid off of a taxiway after landing in Buffalo on Sunday morning.

The incident forced the Atlanta-based air carrier to take their passengers from the plane to the terminal by bus.

According to Lisa Hellerstedt from Atlanta-based Delta, Flight 5058, a CRJ-900 aircraft with 64 passengers on board, had just landed at Buffalo-Niagara International Airport from New York-LaGuardia Airport without incident and was in the process of heading to the terminal when it left the taxiway.

The incident happend in the midst of one of the busiest travel weekends of the year, with millions of travelers heading home following the Thanksgiving holiday.

Delta is one of a number of air carriers who has already issued travel waivers ahead of a major winter storm anticipated to strike the northeastern states through late Monday or early Tuesday.
