TSA agents at Orlando International Airport found two high-capacity magazines hidden inside a baby toy during a recent bag check, a blog post on the agency’s website said.

Agents found the magazines inside a Prop-A-Pillar baby support toy after noticing strange objects in the box during an X-ray screening on Nov. 12, said TSA spokeswoman Sari Koshetz. The toy box was staged to appear factory sealed, according to the TSA’s periodic roundup of objects found in baggage, covering Nov. 4-17.

Local police confiscated the magazines and interviewed the passenger, Koshetz said. The passenger was allowed to travel without the magazines.

“The discovery is a testament to the fact that our officers are highly trained to find possible threats wherever they may be hidden,” Koshetz said. “This case also elucidates the reason why the TSA must and does screen everything that is heading for the aircraft in order to keep you safe.”

The same post said TSA agents at OIA caught a passenger attempting to conceal a gun while passing through a security checkpoint on Nov. 15.

The passenger hid the gun near her chest but TSA agents discovered it during a patdown, the post said. She was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm.

During the nearly two-week period, the TSA said it screened 31.7 million passengers across the country and found 205 guns in carry-on bags.

Of those, 176 were loaded and seven had a chambered round.

“Bringing a firearm to the security checkpoint may lead to a civil penalty of up to $13,333 or an arrest,” wrote the post’s author, Jay Wagner.
