White powder discovered at highschool was corn starch: police


TORRINGTON, Conn. — Police say a small bag of corn starch prompted an emergency response at a Connecticut highschool.

Police and officers from the Division of Power and Environmental Safety responded when a bag of white powder was discovered Tuesday at Torrington Excessive Faculty. College students have been instructed to carry in place whereas officers labored to establish the substance, which was later recognized as corn starch.
